Sometimes when individuals feel overwhelmed by pain, confusion, sadness and anxiety, it feels impossible or improbable for things to get any worse, muchless better. Gaining outside perspective and validation might be what you need to come to an understanding of who you are at your very core, and to like the person you find there.
Would it be helpful to talk with someone with an objective point of view? I know taking a first step to find a therapist isn’t easy and I don’t take that show of strength lightly! No matter the struggle you are facing, I want to be a safe place for you to share your thoughts and feelings and learn how to feel joy again.
I have a great passion for serving individuals, couples and families, and have for over twenty-five years. After completing a B.A. in Communication at Pepperdine University in 1990, I earned my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Phillips Graduate Institute in 1993 and then worked as an intern for California Family Counseling Center in Encino. For twenty-one years, I have been in practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Orange County, CA: first at C.I.F.T and currently in private practice.
Oftentimes, we need resources beyond that which a therapist can provide. I’ve compiled a list of local Orange County resources as well as some national resources and hotline numbers.
If you find yourself in crisis, please call one of the hotline numbers, 911 or go to your local emergency room.
