You’ve come to the right place. I will do my best to honor you as you seek challenge and understanding. I hope to use my sense of humor and unconditional acceptance to create a place for you to accept and love yourself for exactly who you are.
You’ve come to the right place. I will do my best to honor you as you seek challenge and understanding. I hope to use my sense of humor and unconditional acceptance to create a place for you to accept and love yourself for exactly who you are.
I have cultivated a compassionate, collaborative, no-nonsense approach to therapy; that is, I want to work with you to discover strengths, develop goals, and process emotions, as a team. I know that you are the expert on your own life experience, and I believe what I bring to the table are the tools to help you feel more empowered, confident and at peace with yourself. Sometimes gaining outside perspective and validation is what you need to come to an understanding of who you are at your very core, and to like the person you find there.
I am here to fight for your relationship. Each person needs to be heard for growth to occur. As a therapist, you will find that I am straightforward. For the truth to be healing and transformational, it must be tempered with grace and compassion; much in the same way that God approaches each of us.
As a follower of Jesus Christ, I believe in the power of:
Compassion for self and others
Healthy, productive and intentional communication
True self-care and self-acceptance
Feeling, processing and accepting of all emotions
Everyone’s innate, intrinsic, and fundamental value, worth and capacity for growth and success
It is my most sincere hope that I am creating a welcome and safe space for all people. I know taking a first step to find a therapist isn’t easy and I don’t take that show of strength lightly! With my (attempted) sense of humor and respect for my clients, I hope to create a warm place for you to accept yourself for exactly who you are right now and then find ways together to change your life to make it more reflective of who you were created to be.
